Is there a particular issue that motivates you, and if so, what is it?I have been on the board for the past 5 years. I am just starting to help and I have more ideas for the future.If you are an incumbent, describe your main contributions. Tell us of important initiatives you've led. If you are a non-incumbent, tell us what contributions you would make.I am involved in the Library, I have served on the Anniversary Committee and the original committee for Perks and Possibilities. I am a member of the Friends of the Library and I help with their main fundraiserDo you have a library card? How long have you had it? How often do you use it?Yes, for over 20 years I use my card in different ways, I attend classes and check out books. I have used the Digital Media Lab as well.Space is an issue at many libraries. If that's the case at your library, would your solution be to expand the physical plant or make room by doing away with parts of the collection that technology has made less critical? Explain.I do not feel we need an addition at this time. We are currently reviewing the space and how it is being used. The space is under assessment by a professional team as well as the staff and input from the Board and patrons.What impact have economic and technological changes had on libraries? How does a library remain relevant? How should its role in the community change?Our programs and needs change with the community. The Library serves the entire community in so many ways. Our monthly Newsletter with all the programs we have to offer best shows how we serve the community. We offer classes for all and encourage our residents to come and enjoy and learnWhat other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?I am working with our team to offer GED classes at the Library. We need to make every avenue available to those that need to reach their goals.
