Is there a particular issue that motivates you, and if so, what is it?I am a first time candidate and a resident of the Cook Memorial Public Library District for 25 years. I am a regular and frequent patron of the library and am interested in ensuring Cook Memorial continues to offer current and quality services and programs. Technology classes, bookmobile services, field trips, children, teen and adult programs, outreach and participation in community events are highly valued in our community. I want Cook Memorial to continue to be recognized for excellent access and service. I am particularly interested in the internal operations of the library. I feel strongly that the taxpayers who support the library should have open access to its governance and the decision making process of the elected board. I want the residents of the district to feel welcome to share their library experiences, needs and interests with their elected representatives on the library board. I look forward to an opportunity to serve and give back to my community. My family and I have received great benefit and enjoyment from Cook Memorial and I want to ensure those same benefits and positive experiences are available to all.If you are an incumbent, describe your main contributions.
