What changes, if any, do you think need to be made? The schools are providing adequate information for students and families while organizing their next steps. I want to ensure that schools can continue to provide each student with the highest quality of education and measure their achievements through utilization of a current and progressive curriculum. Faculty should be provided the tools necessary so they are equipped to assist students both academically and emotionally in their preparation for the next stage which will enhance the transition. What budgetary issues will your district have to confront during the next four years and what measures do you support to address them? Again, be specific. If faced with budget issues over the next four years, I would challenge the board to identify creative measures to meet the budget constraints without reducing programming that is available to our students. It is important we continue to provide our students with resources that will assist their ability to succeed in the future. Collectively, the board will have to weigh the options available and determine what is best for the students as it is our responsibility to provide them with an excellent education. Are you currently employed by or retired from a school district, if so, which one? The school board should review the details and discuss proposals while incorporating information and facts from the community, administration and teachers based on the current economic status of the community and financial stability of the school district. Why or why not?I do not support a substantial increase in pay for a superintendent or an administrator nearing retirement to help boost their pension benefits.
