How and why?Villa Olivia is great addition to the park district and is slightly underperforming, but like any other start up business, it will take time. The park district staff is doing a good job of finding new ways to improve on the facility. If they continue to improve the fairways and greens, this will attract all levels of golfers. I also think that the internal programs are well monitored by the staff. If there are any needs for changes, I am confident, the staff will make the right decisions. Is there any additional open space the park district needs to acquire? Please describe. At this time, other than the potential donation of land from Elmhurst Chicago Stone Company along Munger Road and West Bartlett Road, I don't feel there is a need to acquire additional land. There is no reason to burden the tax payers with additional properties at this time. Are there any unmet recreational needs? If yes, what are they and how would you propose paying for them? Or, should they wait until the economy improves?Like any other park district, there are always additional recreational opportunities to be explored. Each of these opportunities will be evaluated and considered as they are proposed. Once again, at this time, I feel we do not need to add any additional tax burdens on the community.Would you support sharing/pooling resources (i.e. printing, vehicles) with other local governments (school districts, village, etc.)? If so, what areas would you consider combining or merging to save money or improve efficiency?I am always open to any ideas of sharing and pooling any local resources as long as it works financially, services the publics needs and the terms make sense. If you are a newcomer, what prompted you to run for the park board? If you're an incumbent, list your accomplishments or key initiatives in which you played a leadership role.I have served on the Bartlett Parks Foundation Board and feel that this is a natural move to make. I enjoy helping the public, sharing my ideas and knowledge with others and want to continue to see this great community grow. I want a place for my children to enjoy and also to show them what being part of a community is all about. What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?Candidate did not respond. Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Candidate did not respond. What's the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?Family and the values instilled by my parents are most important to me.If life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?We always learn from our mistakes.
