Would you keep, eliminate or change them? How and why?Candidate did not respond.Is there any additional open space the park district needs to acquire? Please describe.If the park district can afford it without becoming a burden, I feel that they should acquire as much space as possible. For example, the undeveloped Busse Farm area could be used for a multitude of community projects.Are there any unmet recreational needs? If yes, what are they and how would you propose paying for them? Or, should they wait until the economy improves?With the growing popularity of the sport Lacrosse which has recently been introduced in some schools in the surrounding area. There are no classes that are being offered as of yet and it is my belief that this is something that could be a potential need and should be looked into. I would imagine that the initial outlay for equipment and instructor(s) would be minimal and offset by the amount of participants for such a program. Ultimately by polling our community we would find out if the introduction of Lacrosse would be a viable thing.Would you support sharing/pooling resources (i.e. printing, vehicles) with other local governments (school districts, village, etc.)? If so, what areas would you consider combining or merging to save money or improve efficiency?I believe the park district is a large enough entity to stand on its own. In regard to sharing or pooling resources, this is something that should always be a topic up for discussion.If you are a newcomer, what prompted you to run for the park board? If you're an incumbent, list your accomplishments or key initiatives in which you played a leadership role.Being part of the park board is something that has been on my mind for a few years now ever since I became a board member for our Elk Grove Youth Football program. After being a volunteer coach with the program, I joined the Youth Football board because there was an opportunity to help assist in the guidance of that program. Our Village and Park District offer a lot in the way of programs and services not only to our community,but to surrounding communities as well. I currently have children that are involved in various programs offered by our park district and I Volunteer to help out where needed. I take great pride in doing so and I wanted to do more to help with keeping our exceptional community exceptional. That is what prompted me to run for the park board.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?As a candidate,I feel that keeping our programs and services that we offer in the park district running smoothly is very important. That along with communication between the programs,registrants and potential end users. In addition to that,it is important that our programs keep evolving to reflect our growing and diverse demographics.Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Warren Buffet. From his humble beginnings to where he is now. His philosophies and philanthropy are truly inspiring.What's the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?I would say the lesson would be to treat people the way you wish to be treated.If life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?If life gave me one do-over, I would spend it on being able to have more time with my grandfather.What was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?My favorite subject was Social Science. I feel it has helped me interact better with people and be more understanding.If you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?To be respectful to others, that and to get your education. I know that's two pieces but one piece of advice is difficult to give.
