Illinois woman dies in Bloomington house fire

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (AP) - A central Illinois woman has died of smoke inhalation during a house fire.

The (Bloomington) Pantagraph reports (http://bit.ly/1GzM7N6 ) that Wilma R. Brown was found dead on the second floor of a Bloomington home. A male relative also was hurt and might have jumped from the second floor. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries.

Investigators have yet to determine the cause of Friday's blaze.

A preliminary autopsy has determined the woman died of carbon monoxide intoxication.

Officials say the fire spread from the porch and first floor to the second before it was brought under control.
