Los Alquimistas to bring Pan-American sound to the Adler Center

Chicago-based Los Alquimistas will play the Adler Center at 7 p.m. Friday, March 6, as part of the David Adler Music and Arts Center Concert Series.

"It's First Friday in downtown Libertyville, and the beginning of Youth Art Month, and we're delighted we can provide a great concert as part of this celebration of the arts" said Heather Williamson, Adler Center Program Coordinator. "It's a chance to hear world-class music in our own backyard."

Los Alquimistas blend traditional Afro-Peruvian, bossa nova, and reggae tunes with their urban perspective for energetic performances featuring hot sounds by Neil Dixon Smith, Emiliano Rojas, and Zacbe Pichardo, and smooth vocals by Leanne Araya. Join them for PanAmericalia: classic tracks, obscure gems and original sounds inspired from all over the Americas.

Tickets may be purchased online, via www.adlercenter.org, or by calling (847) 367-0707. Seating is limited and early booking is recommended. Student tickets are $10, Adler Members $15; and general admission is $20.
