Youngster aids police recruiting effort

SIDNEY - The Sidney Police Department is getting some help from an enthusiastic youngster in recruiting applicants for police officer openings.

Six-year-old Noah Bundy appears in a video on the city of Sidney's Facebook page singing “Bad Boys,” the theme song from the TV show “Cops.” Noah is the son of Tosha and James Bundy. To see the video, go to https://www.facebook.com/cityofsidneyohâ#128;œActually, Noah would like to be a police officer when he grows up and came up to me at a Pinewood Derby Contest and sang me the 'Bad Boys' song,â#128;ť Police Chief Will Balling wrote on Facebook. â#128;œWith the city of Sidney still accepting applications for the position of police officer, I thought he would be a good person to market the position.â#128;ťBalling said Damion Skeans, teacher of the Sidney High School TV Productions class, helped create the video. â#128;œJack Martin and Luke Dahlinghaus donated their time and skills to create this for us,â#128;ť he said.Candidates may obtain information about the police officer jobs on the city website, www.sidneyoh.com. Click on departments and then employment opportunities to locate the information. Applications and initial testing processes must be completed by March 23.
