Grain higher livestock mostly lower

CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were higher Tuesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery unchanged at $5.04 a bushel; May corn was 7.75 cents higher at $3.9450 a bushel; May oats were unchanged at $2.72 a bushel; while May soybeans surged 21.5 cents to $10.23 a bushel.

Beef was lower and pork mostly higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle was .60 cent lower at $1.4650 a pound; March feeder cattle was 2.07 cents lower at $1.96 a pound; April lean hogs lost .02 cent to $.6830 a pound.
