Andre Walker comes up big in Loyola's 3OT win over Colgate

BALTIMORE (AP) - Freshman Andre Walker scored a season-high 21 points, including the game-winner in the third overtime, as Loyola edged Colgate 80-78 on Sunday.

Walker made a contested layup with 6.9 seconds remaining in the third overtime and Colgate was unable to get off a final shot attempt. He also tied the game in the second overtime with a similar layup on the right side of the lane. The officials put 0.8 seconds on the clock but Colgate's inbounds play was intercepted.

He missed a layup at the end of the first overtime after Colgate's Damon Sherman-Newsome made two free throws with six seconds left to tie the game. And Walker tied the game with six seconds left in regulation before Colgate's Luke Roh missed a shot at the buzzer.

Junior Franz Rassman added a career-high 19 points but fouled out in the first overtime for Loyola (11-16, 7-9 Patriot).

Matt McMullen, a senior, had career-highs of 19 points and 17 rebounds to lead Colgate (13-16, 10-6).

The Raiders went 12-plus minutes without a field goal, spanning the three overtime sessions.
