Getaway driver gets over 5 years in Belleville robbery

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (AP) - A southwestern Illinois woman has been sentenced to five years and eight months in federal prison for her role in a Belleville liquor store robbery.

Twenty-two-year-old Charmonequette Reynolds admitted last summer to driving a getaway vehicle in the July 2013 robbery at Arena Liquor. She pleaded guilty to conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery, interference with commerce by robbery and use of a firearm during a crime of violence.

The Belleville News-Democrat (http://bit.ly/1zmTuTh ) reports two armed men robbed about $15,000 from the liquor store before fleeing in a vehicle driven by Reynolds. She was arrested shortly after the robbery.

U.S. Attorney Stephen Wigginton announced Tuesday that Reynolds was sentenced last week. She was ordered to pay $10,465 in restitution.
