Night life: Crosstown Pub opens in Batavia
New Crosstown spot
Crosstown Pub and Grill recently opened a new location - this time in Batavia. The sports-themed pub plans to highlight the rivalry between Batavia and Geneva high schools as well as the Chicago Cubs and White Sox competitiveness on its 22 TVs. Known for its burgers and wings, Crosstown Pub features a wine-and-whiskey bar and a second bar with 40 beers on tap.

The love never dies at Spears, where drink specials throughout February are sure to win your heart. Talk beer at this month's Beer Summit at Wine Knows in Grayslake. Learn about Irish and Scottish ales from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26. Each summit includes beer samples and food. $25 per person.
