Maine West students stage anti-violence flash mob

Several student groups worked together to create a flash mob Friday in the Maine West High School cafeteria as part of the One Billion Rising movement to end violence against women.

The high school's human rights group, Voice for the Nameless, partnered with Orchesis and Poetry Slam to create the flash mob, which included dancing, speeches and posters.

The One Billion Rising campaign was launched on Valentine's Day 2012, and last year events took place in 200 countries. For more information, visit www.onebillionrising.org.
