Stage version of 'Frozen' to have familiar writers

NEW YORK - The stage version of "Frozen" will have some familiar faces behind the scenes.

Disney Theatrical Productions said Friday that the husband-and-wife team of Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez will be working on the show and Jennifer Lee, co-director and screenwriter of the film, is writing the story.

No other staffing or dates have been announced.

"Frozen" has earned Disney more than $1.27 billion at the box office worldwide, becoming the most successful animated movie of all time. Its signature song, "Let It Go," won an Oscar.

Lopez helped write "The Book of Mormon" and "Avenue Q," while his wife is behind Disney World's "Finding Nemo" show. They're also writing a new musical comedy called "Up Here" for La Jolla Playhouse.
