Glen Ellyn- Wheaton Community Associates of the Art Institute Experience the Art of Downton Abbey

Jeff Nigro, art historian and lecturer, charmed over 173 members and guests at the Valentine Luncheon of the Glen Ellyn Wheaton Community Associates of the Art Institute as he traveled with them through the art, architecture and gracious living of the Downton Abby PBS Television Series. Nigro pointed out that this was an era of social and cultural change. Preservation of tradition in Britain led to the creation of Heritage organizations like the National Trust. Leslie Foster, co-chairman of the Art Study Group came dressed as one of the characters in the very popular program. The event was help at the Carlisle Banquets in Lombard.
