Schaumburg police said yesterday that they continue to investigate the theft of half a million dollars in jewelry from Jared Galleria of Jewelry. Burglars broke into the store Tuesday during regular store hours and used hammers to smash out glass display cases, police said. Full story.

Kane County begins process to fill vacant seat

Blackhawks fall to Vancouver in OT

Individually, it would be difficult to find current NHL players better than Marian Hossa and Patrick Kane. Hossa had his third straight 2-goal game Wednesday night, and Kane is now the league's leading scorer after netting a goal and adding a pair of assists.
