Allstate logo to be painted on top of Rosemont stadium

Allstate's logo will be painted on top of the Rosemont arena that bears its name by the end of March, officials said.

As part of a naming rights agreement extension approved last August for the village-owned Allstate Arena, village officials agreed to place the company's logo on the stadium's roof - sought by Allstate so it could be visible to passengers in airplanes flying into O'Hare International Airport.

The nearby Target store also has a logo on its roof.

The village is paying Elmhurst-based South Water Signs $118,665 to paint a white logo on the stadium's blue roof. The work is expected to be complete in time for an April 30 Allstate-sponsored charity concert.
