Bond increased for Indiana couple charged in boy's death
BLUFFTON, Ind. (AP) - A northeastern Indiana judge has increased the bond for a couple charged in connection with the death of the woman's 3-year-old son.
A Wells County judge on Monday raised by $50,000 to $350,000 the bond 21-year-old Breanna J. Arnold and her 30-year-old boyfriend Zachary Barnes face in the case.
WANE-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1DAld83 ) the couple appeared for an initial hearing on one count each of dealing methamphetamine.
Arnold and Barnes also are charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in death, abuse of a corpse and other counts in the death of the child presumed to be 3-year-old Owen Collins.
A coroner hasn't released an autopsy report identifying a child whose burned body was found in a rural area. Police found that body Jan. 18 after learning the boy was missing.
