Cookie Dough Balls
1 stick (8 tablespoons) butter, at room temperature
⅓ cup brown sugar
⅓ cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
¾ cup mini chocolate chips
Put butter and sugars in a large mixer bowl; beat with an electric mixer at medium speed until very smooth, and then mix a little more.
Add the vanilla, salt and flour and mix with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula until flour is completely incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Pinch off a small wad of dough about the size of a tablespoon and roll into a ball; it should be smaller than a Ping-Pong ball. Place in a single layer on a serving platter and refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Makes about 18 cookie dough balls.
