Crusades lecture poorly timed

Obama's legacy is next to nothing, but today? It's worse. At last week's National Prayer Breakfast, Obama lectured the moral/historical equivalency between acts of ISIS, Boko Haram, Al Queda, et. al., versus the Catholic/Christian Crusades.

Perhaps so - but how will we act? Mr. President? How will YOU act, and thus, WE act?

Both sides - whether Christian/Muslim or Progressive/Conservative - are sorrowful of acts in “God's Name” during the Crusades, 500 to 800 years ago.

Do we not all feel similar revulsion for similar acts both today and yesterday? Just yesterday? A man was burned alive in a cage. For months now, many have been be-headed.

The West and the U.S. are now in the 21st century. We all wish such barbarities - past or present - to be quelled - acted upon immediately. Yet the end of such barbarism is subject to equivocation by an impotent intellectual president who has no stronger feeling other than that it can be debated?

Equivocated? This is not a classroom, “Professor Obama.” This is real life - something for which you're apparently ill-equipped to be decisive on anything at all.

I'm well-acquainted with your type, and now; most Americans as well.

Yes. Europe and the Middle East should be contributing more to mutual defense. Without question. But leaving them to figure this out for themselves because we've obviously abandoned them? Without notice of your current non-strategy?

Without any sort of discussions or mutual agreement beforehand? I think you're dredging up the “Crusades” as just one more means by which you'd argue against and avoid having to make any sort of decision at all on what you have to do. What we want and have to do. And somehow, you're our “president”?
