Expressions show choir to preview program in Buffalo Grove

The community is invited to attend the Buffalo Grove High School Expressions next competition preview performance on Thursday, Feb. 12.

The high-energy show, featuring the music of Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five, offers the audience a chance to see the bevy of talent that this year's group possesses.

A mixed show choir made up of 41 singer-dancers, 16 band members and five crew members, The Expressions is directed by Debora Utley and choreographed by Randy Sage. Bryan Itzkowitz serves as the band director.

The Expressions kicked off its 2015 competition season on Jan. 17 by winning 1st Runner Up at the Muscatine River City Showcase in Muscatine, Iowa. Their next competition is at the Chesterton Show Choir Invitational in Chesterton, Indiana, Saturday, Feb. 14.

The preview performance will be held at the school's Miller Theater, 1100 W. Dundee Road in Buffalo Grove. A donation of $3 for adults and $1 for students is appreciated. For information, call (847) 718-4000 during school hours.
