Man United beats 4th-tier Cambridge 3-0 in FA Cup replay

Manchester United defeated fourth-tier Cambridge 3-0 in an FA Cup fourth-round replay on Tuesday night following a 0-0 draw on Jan. 23.

Cambridge had a chance to go ahead quickly at Old Trafford when Manchester United's Daley Blind slipped. Tom Elliott came in on net, and his bending shot beat goalkeeper David de Gea but hit the outside of a post.

The 20-time English league champions, 79 places above Cambridge in the English pyramid, got goals from Juan Mata in the 25th minute, Marcos Rojo in the 32nd and second-half substitute James Wilson in the 73rd. United advanced to a matchup at third-tier Preston North End on Feb. 16.

In the night's other replay, Sunderland rallied to beat second-tier Fulham 3-1 and will play third-tier Bradford. After Hugo Rodallega put the Cottagers ahead, Sunderland tied it on a fumbled own goal by goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli, went ahead on Ricardo Alvarez's goal and got a penalty kick from Jordi Gomez.
