Kresl leads Colorado women past Arizona 81-69

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Lexy Kresl scored 20 points and Jen Reese added 19 to help Colorado beat Arizona 81-69 on Sunday.

Kresl hit four 3-pointers on 7-of-14 shooting from the field. Reese made 8 of 14 shots and grabbed eight rebounds.

Jasmine Sborov had 16 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for Colorado (10-11, 3-7 Pac-12).

Kresl scored eight straight Colorado points, including back-to-back 3-pointers, during a 14-5 run to take an early 28-19 lead.

Malena Washington led Arizona (8-13, 1-9) with 16 points and LaBrittney Jones added 14 points, eight rebounds and six blocks. Candice Warthen made 9 of 12 free throws and finished with 13 points, and Alli Gloyd added 10 points.

Arizona trailed by as many as 15 points in the second half and got within five on three occasions, but Colorado made 10 of 12 free throws in the final minute to seal the victory.
