Body found in Vernon Hills

A person found dead Friday morning in Vernon Hills might be a woman reported missing Thursday evening, police said.

Police officials read from a vague statement Friday evening, declining to say when or where the body was found.

Other media outlets reported that the woman was found about 9:30 a.m. near the railroad tracks on the north side of Century Park.

Friday evening, police did say there was no evidence of foul play and that further information could be available Monday.

Lake County coroner's officials were unable to give any other information Friday evening.
