MAN CHARGED WITH ASSASSINATING TROOPER, WOUNDING PARTNER SET FOR ARRAIGNMENT
Eric Frein was due in court today on murder and other charges for leading police on a 48-day manhunt after allegedly gunning down the troopers outside a barracks in the Poconos in September. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

SO, WHO PAID FOR THIS REPORT AGAIN?
Penn State president Eric Barron says the report the school hired former FBI Director Louis Freeh to write on the Jerry Sandusky child-sex scandal created an "absurd" and "unwarranted" picture of the university. He also says the report is "not useful to make decisions" - even though it was used to do just that before the university and the NCAA agreed upon sanctions, many of which have been rescinded as part of a recent settlement.

The school on Thursday released its Sexual Assault and Harassment Task Force report. The report suggests the university devote an office with an investigator and other staff to handle sexual misconduct allegations.
