Gurnee library offers free streaming service
Warren-Newport Public Library in Gurnee has launched a free digital service providing television programs and more to library cardholders.
Through the initiative with hoopla digital, patrons have free online and mobile access to more than 200,000 TV shows, movies, music and audiobooks. Patrons can instantly explore and enjoy on-demand content from their smartphones, tablets, PCs and Apple TV.
Hoopla officials, in an announcement Wednesday, said cardholders don't have to wait to borrow the materials and an automatic return feature eliminates late fees. Warren-Newport is the 47th library in Illinois to enter into the venture with hoopla digital.
