DuPage water stamps available

DuPage County residents who want to operate canoes, kayaks, rowboats, paddleboats and other nonmotorized watercraft on Illinois waterways may purchase water-usage stamps at the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County's Visitor Services at its district headquarters, 3S580 Naperville Road, Wheaton. The stamps are required by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and cost $6.50 for the first three vessels. Stamps are good until Dec. 31, 2015. Stamps must be affixed to the vessel at all times, either on the inside or outside of the boat as long as it is easily identifiable by IDNR conservation officers and district police officers and rangers.
