Apply for seat on Museum Advisory Committee

The Arlington Heights Historical Museum wants your input.

The Museum Advisory Committee promotes the Arlington Heights Historical Museum, makes recommendations for long-range goals, evaluates the intergovernmental agreement that governs the museum and supports staff in the execution of their duties.

The Arlington Heights Historical Museum is always looking for ways to better serve the residents of Arlington Heights. The citizen members of the Museum Advisory Committee help accomplish this goal and connect with the citizens of Arlington Heights.

The park district Board of Commissioners appoints members to the Museum Advisory Committee. The committee is made up of two citizen members, and members from the village, the museum and the park district.

Committee members are appointed in April and serve two-year terms starting in May.

The Museum Advisory Committee meets four times a year. The next meeting is at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18.

Applications for consideration are due Friday, Feb. 6

Applications can be picked up at the Arlington Heights Park District Administration Center, 410 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Lakes Golf Club, 1211 S. New Wilke Road, or at the museum, 110 W. Fremont St.
