Kalamazoo girl, 4, saves pregnant mom's life during seizure

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) - A Kalamazoo mother credits her 4-year-old daughter with saving her life after suffering from an epileptic seizure while nine months pregnant.

Medical officials say Centerria Manning suffered a seizure at her home Wednesday. Manning says her daughter, Calise, called 911 and followed the dispatcher's instructions. She says Calise turned her on her side and let first responders into the home when they arrived.

According to a press release from the hospital, Calise rode in an ambulance with her mother. Manning gave birth to her son, TJ, on Friday morning.

Manning says she started teaching Calise when she was 2 how to stay calm and call for help during an emergency.
