Why all of these parking restrictions?

My wife and I our of an age when we have a little disposable income and last Saturday we decided on lunch in downtown Arlington Heights at Circa 57. We parked in the downtown garage and enjoyed our lunch. When we returned she found a $25 parking ticket on our small car. This was for backing into a stall. Afterward we did notice signs informing us that this was not allowed.

I also saw signs for permit parking, free parking, handicap parking, stall numbers, limited parking hours, no parking directional travel plus a few more. My question is WHY? Why no backing in, why any restricted parking, why even have a parking structure to support downtown when you are going to drive us away?

And drive us away you did. We will not return to downtown Arlington Heights, we will not support local business, we will not support the Arts center, we will not support anything because you, Village of Arlington Heights. You drove us away with your money-grabbing regulations. I hope all of downtown goes bankrupt and the buildings turn to dust.
