West, Woodley lead Northwestern State to 93-67 win

NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) - Jalan West scored 25 points and Zeek Woodley 23 to lead Northwestern State over McNeese State 93-67 on Saturday.

West made 6 of 9 3-point attempts and led the Demons (9-9, 4-3 Southland) with eight rebounds and eight assists. Marvin Frazier and Matt Killian added 10 points apiece.

Kevin Hardy led the Cowboys with 14 points. Jamaya Burr added 11 while Desharick Guidry and Keelan Garrett had 10 apiece. Guidry grabbed nine rebounds. McNeese State (7-10, 1-5) has dropped five of its last six.

West scored 17 points and Woodley 11 as Northwestern State built a 49-35 halftime lead on 51.4 percent shooting and a 24-15 rebound advantage. The Cowboys made 6 of 11 3-pointers but shot only 38.7 percent overall in the first 20 minutes.

A 15-point run by Northwestern State in which McNeese State went scoreless for more than five minutes left the Demons ahead 93-64 with 1:24 left.
