Bears hire Hardegree as offensive assistant

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) - The Chicago Bears have hired Bo Hardegree as an offensive assistant.

Hardegree follows new Chicago coach John Fox from Denver, where he spent this season as an offensive quality control coach. The Broncos were second in the NFL in scoring offense (30.1 points per game) and fourth in total offense (402.9 yards per game).

Hardegree previously coached at Louisiana State (2011-13) and Duke (2008-10). He was also a quarterback and played tennis at Tennessee, where graduated in 2007 with a degree in exercise science.
