Green Bay man indicted in sexual exploitation of minors

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - A federal grand jury has returned an indictment against a Green Bay man accusing him of coercing girls to appear in his pornographic videos.

Twenty-nine-year-old Joseph Valdez is charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of possession of child pornography. Each exploitation count carries a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.

The case was investigated by Seymour police and the FBI. The investigation was part of the U.S. Department of Justice's nationwide initiative on child sexual exploitation and abuse called Project Safe Childhood. Valdez's public defender did not immediately return a call for comment.
