Wausau police investigating road rage gunshot

WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) - Wausau police say they're investigating a road rage shooting.

A male driver told police he saw a motorist slowing down and speeding up and weaving on a bridge around 11 p.m. Thursday. The man told police he passed the vehicle and the driver started tailgating him. The man says he stopped in the traffic lane to confront the motorist when the driver got out with what appeared to be a rifle and fired it into the air.

The man says the driver approached him and touched the side of his face with the firearm, then got back in his vehicle and drove away.

Police are looking for a suspect.
