Fire damages home in North Aurora

Nobody was injured in a house fire Wednesday evening in North Aurora, fire officials said.

North Aurora firefighters were called just after 5 p.m. to the single-family, two-story home in the 3000 block of Carlisle Lane, North Aurora Capt. Adam Miller said.

They arrived to heavy fire showing from a second-story bedroom window, he said.

"Everybody got out safe, and the fire was contained to a smaller area in the home, which is good," Miller said.

The family's pets were also unharmed in the blaze. No damage estimates were available. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Batavia, Geneva, Sugar Grove, Fermilab and Aurora fire departments also assisted.
