Monroe man dies in Cheboygan County snowmobile accident
TUSCARORA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A 37-year-old Monroe man has died in a snowmobile accident after authorities say he crashed into trees in Cheboygan County.
The Tuscarora Township Police Department responded to the crash on the Gaylord to Mackinaw City Railroad Trail System early Saturday morning. Police say they found the driver of the snowmobile less than two miles south of a road near the Indian River. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the snowmobile went off the trail and hit several trees.
