South Carolina still No. 1 in AP women's hoops poll

South Carolina remains the top team in The Associated Press women's basketball poll.

The Gamecocks garnered 27 first-place votes and have been the nation's No. 1 squad for the past nine weeks. They visit Florida on Monday night.

UConn, Baylor, Louisville and Tennessee round out the first five. The Lady Vols visit No. 6 Notre Dame on Monday night. The Irish are followed by Maryland, Texas, Oregon State and Texas A&M. Baylor hosts Texas in a key Big 12 matchup Monday.

Western Kentucky re-entered the Top 25 one week after falling out without a loss. The 24th-ranked Lady Toppers were only the fifth team since 2000 to drop out of the poll without a defeat that week, according to STATS.

Oklahoma State fell out of the rankings on Monday.
