Texas' Enemkpali injures knee grabbing rebound

WACO, Texas (AP) - Texas forward Nneka Enemkpali injured her left knee while grabbing an offensive rebound for the eighth-ranked Longhorns in their game at No. 3 Baylor.

Enemkpali was in obvious pain, clutching her knee and crying out after falling awkwardly to the floor with 5:44 left in the first half of the top 10 matchup Monday night.

The 6-foot-1 senior is the leading scorer and rebounder for Texas.

After being tended on the floor for several minutes, Enemkpali was carried to the locker room. She came back to the Texas bench after halftime on crutches and where her left knee in a protective sleeve.

There was no immediate word from Texas officials on the extent of the injury.
