No. 18 Georgia holds off Vanderbilt 64-53

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Shacobia Barbee scored 14 points with 11 rebounds and No. 18 Georgia held off Vanderbilt 64-53 on Sunday.

Georgia (16-3, 4-2 SEC) led by one early in the second half when the Bulldogs went on a 13-4 run - including seven points from Barbee - lifting the lead to 10 with 3:33 remaining and Vandy didn't have a late run in them.

Krista Donald scored 13 points with seven boards. Merritt Hempe and Marjorie Butler had 11 points apiece for Georgia.

Georgia was 24 of 30 from the line, while Vandy was 10 of 16.

Rebekah Dahlman was 6 of 8 for 17 points to lead Vanderbilt (10-8, 1-4), while Marqu'es Webb added 11 points.

Vanderbilt led by one with 5:51 left in the first half, but Georgia reeled off six straight points and led 27-24 at the break.
