Barrington's Cross wins at Trevian Relays

Barrington's Colin Cross took top honors in the 100-yard breastroke in the 60th version of the Trevian Relays hosted by New Trier on Saturday.

Cross finished in 1:00.72 and also had the breastroke leg of Barrington's winning JV 200 medley relay as Colin O'Leary, Cross, Andrew Fish and Mitch Gavars prvailed in 1:40.70.

Gavars also had a top-three individual finish, taking second in the 500 free in 4:50.83.

Barrington finished fifth in the team race with 106 points.

Host New Trier had the top team performance (162.5), followed by Neuqua Valley (118.5), Evanston (116.5) and Lake Forest (110). Stevenson (102.5) and Hinsdale Central (97.5) were close behind the Broncos.
