Felony charges filed against motorist arrested 22nd time

RIVERSIDE, Ill. (AP) - A Chicago motorist is facing felony charges after being arrested for the 22nd time on traffic violations.

Riverside Police Chief Tom Weitzel says 62-year-old Alfredo Luna was recently stopped going 56 miles per hour near an elementary school. Authorities say he was arrested when they learned Luna's driver's license was revoked for prior DUI convictions.

Luna was charged with felony aggravated driving on a revoked license, aggravated speeding and driving without vehicle insurance. His vehicle was seized.

Officials said Luna's license was revoked in 2003 for a DUI, noting he had four previous DUI convictions on his record. They also said he'd been arrested 21 prior times for driving while his license was suspended or revoked.

It wasn't immediately known if Luna has an attorney.
