Notre Dame's Brey doesn't know if Auguste will play again

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Notre Dame coach Mike Brey says forward Zach Auguste is working on an academic matter and doesn't know whether he will play for the 12th-ranked Fighting Irish against Miami on Saturday or even again this season.

Brey said before practice Thursday that the Irish are preparing as if Auguste won't play Saturday, but said Auguste is enrolled and practicing. The 6-foot-10, 240-pound Auguste, averaging 14.3 points for the Irish (16-2, 4-1 Atlantic Coast Conference), started the first 17 games before missing a victory over Georgia Tech on Wednesday night.

Brey says he doesn't have enough information to say whether Auguste will be back this season. He says Auguste has "work to do and he's in the process of doing it. If we get the right feedback, maybe he rejoins us."
