Heat's Dwyane Wade out vs. Warriors with hamstring injury
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade is sitting out against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night because of a strained left hamstring.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra says "rest is on the agenda" for Wade. Spoelstra says Wade's status is officially "day to day."
Miami finishes a five-game trip at Sacramento on Friday night.
Wade left with the injury after playing 14 minutes in the Heat's 78-75 win at the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night. He said afterward that he couldn't remember when he hurt his leg but elected to be cautious.
Wade, who turns 33 on Saturday, had hoped to avoid the maintenance plan that contributed to him missing 28 games last season to rest his troublesome knees. He had played 22 of the previous 23 games.
