Iowa City police arrest Chicago homicide suspect

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - The Iowa City police have arrested another fugitive sought as a Chicago homicide suspect.

The Iowa City Police Department says in a news release that Chicago authorities had shared information that 22-year-old Charles Johnson might be in Iowa City. Iowa City Sgt. Scott Gaarde says Johnson was arrested without incident around 11 p.m. Monday after a traffic stop.

Johnson remained in Johnson County custody on Tuesday. It's unclear whether he has an attorney. The warrant was issued in November.

The other Chicago homicide suspect, Lorenzo Jones, was arrested on Dec. 29. He's no longer listed in Johnson County custody.
