Hanover Twp. grateful for donations that poured in

On behalf of the Hanover Township officials, staff and all of our volunteers, I would like to thank the community for their outpouring of support during this past holiday season.

We are especially grateful to St. John the Evangelist of Streamwood, the Bartlett Lions Club, the Bartlett Rotary Club, Hanover Park Community Bank, Jewel Food Stores of Bartlett and Streamwood, Immanuel United Church of Christ and VFW Post 11018 of Bartlett for their generous support in assisting us in distributing 547 holiday meal boxes to families experiencing hardship.

Over 2,162 children had toys to open as a result of the generous support to our Toy Drive and 679 families were sponsored through our Sponsor-a-Family program.

Thank you to the 23 businesses, community partners and local municipal offices for allowing their lobbies and offices to be utilized for drop off locations.

Every year we continue to be overwhelmed by the tremendous support our residents, neighbors and friends show to those who need it the most and we never take it for granted.

Thank you again to everyone who sponsored a family or dropped off toys for children during this holiday season.

You have each made the season a little brighter.

Brian P. McGuire

Hanover Township Supervisor
