Des Plaines Park District plans improvements at Eaton Field Park

A public meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night on proposed renovations to Eaton Field Park, 2975 Craig Drive, on Des Plaines' south side. The meeting is in the boardroom of the administration and leisure center, 2222 Birch St. The park district plans to replace Eaton Field Park's playground equipment, which is at least 15 years old and may add a walking path and soccer field, said Don Miletic, the park district's executive director. The total project budget ranges from $160,000 to $190,000. The work would begin in the spring, scheduled to be completed by fall. Park district staff will be at the meeting to talk about the design and amenities under consideration. Attendees will be able to fill out a survey, which is also available online at dpparks.org.
