Former Michigan coach joins Wyoming staff

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming has hired an assistant football coach who has worked the last four years at Michigan.

Cowboys coach Craig Bohl officially announced on Thursday the hiring of Curt Mallory as secondary coach and passing game coordinator for the Cowboy defense.

Mallory coached the Wolverine secondary the past four seasons and brings with him 23 years of college coaching experience.

Bohl noted that Mallory also coached at Illinois and Indiana.

During his time in Ann Arbor, Mallory coached Michigan defenses that ranked in the Top 15 in the NCAA in pass defense in 2011 and 2012.
