Cubs finalize 1-year deal with Denorfia
The Cubs and veteran outfielder Chris Denorfia have agreed to terms on a one-year contract.
Denorfia, a career .272 right-handed hitter (530-for-1,950) has played for Cincinnati (2005-06), Oakland (2008-09), San Diego (2010-14) and Seattle (2014). In games at Wrigley Field, Denorfia has a .339 career batting average.
To make room for Denorfia on the 40-man roster, left-handed pitcher Mike Kickham was designated for assignment.
