Antioch police warn of burglaries

Antioch-area residents are asked to properly secure their homes and property after a series of residential burglaries in subdivisions in Antioch and homes along Route 173 in northwestern Antioch Township, police said Tuesday. Officials said several homes have been targeted recently by burglars, who entered occupied and unoccupied homes and removed cash, including change jars. The Lake County Sheriff's Office and the Antioch Police Department are sharing information in an effort to apprehend the offenders. People are asked to report any suspicious persons or activities in their neighborhoods.
