More than 300 people attended the Convocation of Eagles at the Riverwoods Family Campus in St. Charles Saturday, which recognized the achievements and service of eight new Eagle Scouts.
Many of the new Eagle scouts are current or prior students of St. Charles North High School or St. Charles East High School. They are: Jared Devona, Logan Hanson, Daniel Henaughan, Steven Jagodzinski, Duncan Losacco, Erich Olson, Christopher Pombar and Alexander Smith.
"All who know you rejoice in your achievements," Scoutmaster Andy Rollins said.
Each of the boys have completed the requirements to become an Eagle Scout over the past year, and their various projects also involved many volunteers throughout the community.
Troop 1 has been in existence since 1913 and so far has produced 218 Eagle Scouts. Among those in attendance were 19 Eagle Scouts returning to honor their new brothers.
